Egads! Vitamin Flintheart has become the Mole’s agent!?Does that mean he’ll be getting 10 percent? On the positive side, we now see Thunderchild has excellent taste in motion pictures!(And to think, I have to wait 24 hours to see what happens next!)
Vitamin was a regular in Collins strip even after that four year mark. He figures prominently in Uppward Lee Mobile from 1986, as well as the premiere of Putty Puss in October of 1987. Possibly more after, but we are dealing with a period of which I do not have a whole lot of familiarity. Then we move to Kilian, where Vitamin did not appear regularly, at least compared to Diet Smith (who appeared at least once a year and often more) and B.O.Plenty (about once a year, year and a half). Unfortunately, we never saw Locher’s take on the character, though we did get Diet Smith with some regularity and quite a bit of B.O. I would have thought that the Johnny Nothing story would be a good place to include the character. Oh well. Moonrock was back in the summer of 2005, which makes Vitamin’s last appearance about seven years ago.
Vitamin is renowned for his campy rôle in “Abbott and CostelloMeet Columbus,” one of several late 1940s-early 1950s movies they made. And Thunderchild is a big fan! This is an interesting turn of events. I expect it will either complicate or facilitate Paddy’s plan (depending on what her plan is)….
Do wrestlers really sit around in their costumes when they are not in the ring, or working in some way? Then again, this is Dick Tracy, where lots of characters are somewhat “over-the-top”.
Right. Look up the word “drama” and there’s a picture of Vitamin right there. He’s awesome. Tracy has such a wealth of great characters, great to see Vitamin again.
OK – attribute this sloooooow realization to far too many lost hours reading comics and inhaling the fumes of Testor’s glue while putting together models as a youth…
…but Joe Staton…is this the SAME artist who rendered pages of my all-time favorite DC comic…The Metal Men????
@De Hunt:I know that Dick Locher was the artist on the Upward Mobile story, which featured Vitamin quite a bit, but I think Collins was the writer. Don’t know if Locher ever wrote a story with Vitamin in it.

Talk about perfect timing. Maybe if I talk about Angelina Jolie she’ll show up at my door.

So, *Thunderchild*is a fan could make things a little interesting.I’m wondering if Thunderchild is truly a villain. Or is he merely Patti Cure’s pawn.
