Members of the African ant species Crematogaster Striatula, release a potent chemical from their butts that can kill a termite or send hostile ants running! A 1977 comic book featuring the rock band Kiss was printed with red ink that had been mixed with the band members' blood! Believe it or not! Some species of dinosaurs were attentive parents, much like modern-day birds!

“It’s not easy reading black on dark green.”
Yeah, try reading black on dark green with 81-year-old eyes I(with macular degeneration!) I can’t wait for these young punks who put everything together to get old and lose their 20/20 vision. Sweet satisfaction! (The only way I can read anything is on my laptop – because at least I can enlarge it.)

OK, how many issues had their blood? Must’ve been a short run.

The KISS comic was magazine sized and published by Marvel Comics. There was blood in it, as advertised, but only a small quantity (like maybe a thimble full, or some equivalent) which was blended into the gallons of red ink used.
Of equal note, a couple of decades later, Marvel published a trade collection of a popular mini-series, SQUADRON SUPREME, that had a portion of the deceased writer’s ashes mixed into the ink.

I hope no one but real weirdos read that bloody Kiss magazine. If it is printed with real blood, than it shoud not be touched. One can get AIDS from it.
