Adam: Wow! You'd make fun of Katy's dancing? Laura: I was talking about your singing. Adam: Hurtful. Laura: Yes. especially to the ears. Adam: What? I'm an exceptional crooner. Laura: I'd agree... If we lived on a planet where "exceptional crooner" meant "sings with toad stuck in throat." Adam: Do you know what planet I'd like to send your attitude to? Laura: Hmm. Is there a planet called "awesome"?

A lot of times some newspapers throw out the first panel or two, so those panels can’t be required, otherwise people who read those would be confused. The first couple of panels are usually throwaway gags.
