When I was about 5 we used to live in a duplex. One side was an apartment, the other a funeral home. Best, hide and seek places ever.

Next thing: Heart comes to a table, sees a shroud-covered cadaver.“Hey, who’s this?” And she peeks under the shroud.“Did I know them?”

(from a little story I once heard from a college mate who came from a family of undertakers.)

    It’s not a cadaver. It’s a “client”.

My cousin’s father was a funeral director and she gave us a tour of his workroom in the basement. Interesting though a little creepy.

Dont go in heart you’ll be scarred for life. Just try to ignore the suurgacal tubes and cabels and you’ll be fine. Or go back up the stairs. Plan 2 is probally the way you should take down the path of life. just something you shoulden’t know…

They do open the bottom half of the casket, up here anyways. My little nephew was upset that his Grandad’s (my dad) legs were hidden, so when everyone had left the visitation, the funeral director opened the bottom half of the casket. He was fully dressed and complete.

In seminary, we were given a tour of a crematorium. That is another place you don’t want to see. What we saw in the funeral parlour was nothing compared to the crematorium.
