He should ask for the right things: Permanent War, Eternal Empire, and the victory of Nonsense over Sense. Then he’s good to go.

And no, I am not a Democrat or even an American.

That’s because we know that it will be the wrong thing. Obama doesn’t have the sense to propose something that will work.

The Republicans are not the party of NO, they are the party of NO and DON’T.

It’s amazing how much hate there is in this world. But then that’s exactly how the leaders want it.If you convince the public to live in a state of fear then they/we will allow/support anything.

No was from the democrat congress for two years with the exception of this wonderful health plan that no-one read before passing. No budget for how many years? Do the eeevil republicans have the majority in congress? Did the democrats, 100% of them, vote down Obama’s budget?

You can tell it’s a republican genie because it doesn’t have it’s hand in the man’s pocket.

mister shark, on behalf of a lot of us, I apologize for the cowboy, racist, no-one-is-better-than-me attitude of some of these ……peoplethese ….people , I assure you think that the idiotic Iraq war was a good idea……yes, a good idea to bomb civilians and then wave the American flag and claim we saved them……here is their ‘thinking’ : “.weapons of mass destruction? ok, we didn’t find any, but at least we pounded some muslims and muslims are responsible for 911.”really, we ALL don’t think that way

I personally seldom agree with either republican or democrat politics, but i truly enjoy reading all these comments in defense of them. Its even a bonus when they mix in religion.

I’m guessing that most of the commenters on this page are way below 40 years of age. When I was that young, I was that stupid and reactionary, too. The rest, you can guess…You graduate to being a hoary old philosopher…(sigh)

A great example of why this is one of my favorite strips. A good comic strip has the ability to reveal truths in a humorous way. Mark Twain understood the concept, as did Will Rogers, to name but two. John is in good company.

Gee, I thought it was Harry Reid responding to a request that a House passed bill be brought up for a vote in the Senate.

Mitch (the whore of the senate) McConnell: “our mission is to see that Obama is a one term president” Ergo: the party of NO to anything Obama wants, even things the Repugnants even supported once upon a time. Even things that might help our country. They have betrayed their oaths. They are scoundrels of the first degree. Vote them all out in Nov.

@indieme – So what? Harry Reid’s job is to make Obama a two-term president. That’s why he doesn’t allow Republican sponsored legislation to come to a vote. It may pass. Then what does Obama do? Veto it even if it may do some good or sign it and have to give credit to the Republicans?
