Re: Blog- Food bugs: I know they’re there; prefer NOT to be reminded. A little extra protein can be a good thing, But those truffles a trifle down? I hope those are raisins and nut chunks in there. Bess at 13 bears watching; but Natalie at any age- WOW!!!
Noticed your comment to Teresa re: Craig and wanted to ask if you were on Craig’s list, but the comment seems to be out in limbo somewhere. Wish I knew more about the innies and outies of Go Comics, Frog Applause. and Frog Blog- but you gotta love Natalie’s eyes. They make me melt like an ice cream sandwich in August.
Otobuccinaastraphobia is what I came up with. Astrapophobia is fear of thunder and lightning, but I was obviously beaten out by Craig’s superior wit and charm. And a postmark.
Al Capp had a gag like that. Mammy played the sweetest music this side of heaven…far-famed…a horn with the mouthpiece in her husband’s left ear, the horn’s bell out the other…people loved it, but she couldn’t do it too often, because it was hard on Pappy.

Whew, I’m glad I threw my ear trumpet away. I couldn’t play a note on the darn thing.

He played by ear.

Or perhaps your ear trumpet acted as a lightning rod, zapping you before you could hear the thunder.

“..in this case..is it possible to blow your own horn?…”My mom told me not to do that or I would go blind.

The one ear-trumpet user in my experience had numerous other problems as well. She was notorious, and rather eccentric. We shared several interests.

Do not turn the bell upward during a rainstorm. That’s all I’m going to say about that.

Now we all know what apophallic astrapophobia is. Fear of being struck by lightning while someone’s biting off your phallus.

We all have our little fantasies. I don’t judge.
