With Ann, Greg is trying to kill the Brad/Toni storyline so he can go back to writing more Tiffany storylines because she’s the easiest character for Greg to write for.

With Rita, Johnny really hated his job. That’s why he can turn three months into 11 years. There’s a lot of overlap in those 11 years, though.

Rita is a shining example of the Peter Principle. Get promoted one or two levels higher than you can function at. Than wade though life spouting buzz words and re-organizing to cover yourself till the golden chute employs or you can jump to another ship and help sink that one also.

I actually worked the day job 12 years. Didn’t hate it at all, just moved to Costa Rica. I actually like the “real” Rita but this is a comic.

Y’all need to stop imagining that Rita is somehow the face of corporate America. If you’re so smart, why is she your boss? Are you saying that she dumbed her way to the top? Yeah, that makes sense.

John, believe it or not, she a character type that actually exist. I witness it almost everyday, that why I love your strip. It gives me a perspective on work that is hilarous. My stress level has gone down quite a bit, Thank you.

Right. And if a little salt makes food taste good, then a lot of salt ought to make it that much better. The fact that it doesn’t work never deters the true believer.

I used to get that myself. I’d point up legitimate concerns, things that were not working right- and that made me a complainer instead of a team player.
