How apt. My wife is just about to start cooking gumbo for tonight’s dinner.

Just what IS gumbo, and why should it require an antidote?

Isn’t Gumbo stew? I hate stews, casseroles, soups so, yes, they do need an antidote.

If it’s made in Louisiana, you don’t want to know what the “other goodies” might be. As long as you live enar a ditch, you’ll never go hungry.

I once heard that gumbo was a Cajun word that meant “yeh, t’row dat in dere.” At least, that’s what the comedian said.

Out of curiosity, I bought a can of gumbo Chunky Soup once. It had okra and sausage in it. It also contained Cajun spice. It tasted rather good but gave me heartburn. I’ll stick with Pennsylvania food like city chicken and ham barbeques.
