I don’t know… I think that people expect so little of kids and then they live up to it. If that’s called “dumbing it out”, then okay.

toddlers in tiaras is obscene. Let them get dirty, play in the sand and mud, let them play and ride trikes and have fun. Too soon the are regimented and sexualized.

The saddest thing is when the mothers of the toddlers say “But she just loves dressing up and doing this.” while her child is crying and not wanting to go out onstage.
