Those allergy pills are REALLY getting Andy buzzed. (Who was the lame-brain to invent that prescription anyway?)

And the madness continues; whenever I have to take a decongestant for a cold, it typically leaves me really drowsy and I have to go back to bed before I pass out.

Someone mentioned Zyrtec on Monday, I’ll have to agree with them… I took it once and I was so tired for the next twelve hours I couldn’t function, and the twelve hours after that weren’t much better.. And I thought Benadryl was bad. At least that one only makes you sleepy for a few hours and wears off all the way in about six!

Those which are frequently referred to as “decongestant” tablets are usually decongestant/antihistamine combinations. It is the antihistamine that makes one sleepy. Decongestants are stimulants, which tend feel like too much caffeine. Some people are much more sensitive to one than the other.

Be smart. Buy single drug medications ONLY. Much more useful.

Allergy medication seems to really be doing a number on Andi. Maybe she should use a non-drowsy formula next time.
