Although lead has not been used for writing since Roman times, lead poisoning from pencils was not uncommon. Until the middle of the 20th century the paint used for the outer coating could contain high concentrations of lead and this could be ingested when the pencil was sucked or chewed.

No worse than most of the other junk they put in our food. Oh well, it all tastes good and that what matters. ;)

What’s with the pencil? Do they want people to get “lead” poisoning? I know it’s a sorry joke, but then the cartoon was a pretty good groaner, too :)

I can see that this is light milk.
Actually, I’ve used this idea at the grocery store…I’ve asked a fellow stocking milk what else is in there.
Or how much the heavy cream weighs, or whether they have any broken milk that might be cheaper (than whole milk).
Nobody will go shopping with me. It’s odd.
N. Easy…. um…. I think that’s why Awgie put “lead” in quotation marks and called it a joke..stripseeker over 12 years ago

If someone doesn’t like whole milk, does that make them homo-phobic?

Is that the apple to make Apple Jack cereal right there in front of your face?

At least it’s not 2% milk and 98% air – you get something for your money.

Was this milk a blue light special?
I think there’s something fishy there.
We need to get to the core of the problem, or the rotten apple may spoil the child.
