Sunny likes school? That’s it, she’s on my “Characters who are crazy” list.

My BFF’s granddaughter was fussing that she hopes school starts soon because she’s “loosing her skills”. She’s ten.

School wouldn’t have been so bad without the bullies and the homework.

Sunny loves school!

“More likely Sunny sees school as a source of boys. She’s at that point.”Feh. As I wrote in another post, one of my father’s elderly coworkers told him that it would be a waste to send me to college, as I wouldn’t finish. I’d be interested in boys and drop out like all the others. My pa wanted me to take secretarial courses, go to Washington, and snare a rich lawyer.

(cont. from above)But, among other things, I’d inherited my pa’s clumsy fingers and couldn’t type or take shorthand up to speed. I managed to get my B. A. and M. A., got a job teaching English at a junior college, and snagged a nice engineer.I still resent my father’s take on the subject.

Its not going to school that’s bad, its the fact that we really don’t have a good school system that is the bad part.

or, you know, maybe she’s actually interested in learning…
