Pat is in a Loose / Loose situation here. If he beats a one armed golfer what is the accomplishment in that. If he looses to a one armed golfer he will never hear the end of it in the locker room.
Unique situation with Steve-O allowed to play in MCC President’s Cup since he’s not a member. Mr. Berrill would have had him struggle on the front 9, then, have something positive happen on the back and we would all learn a valuable lesson. Noah seems to be growing before our eyes.
Mr. Laske could not contain his chuckle after he wished Steve well in their match. He probably went to his caddie and said . . . “let me give you a hand there buddy ”
If the players are paired by seeding, Steve is playing the 1st or 2nd ranked golfer at MCC. Sort of like a NCAA March Madness 1 seed vs. a playin game winner.
And all accross the country, high school football teams are gearing up for the start of another season….except in MILFord, where Gil tries to get every last drop of vodka out of summer.
@At HaveMop: I know this is pathetic on my part, but I have actually stood up and taken imaginary backhanded golf swings, and there’s no way the club ends up behind your back and pointed down. You would tear your shoulder out of its socket if you did that.
Our first football scrimmage is Saturday, and Milford’s is when?Or are we going to concentrate on soccer and field hockey this fall? Molly would be a great defender in FH and look mighty good in a short kilt.

Steve is supposed to be hitting backhand. I see no possible way his club could end up where it is on his follow-through.

Do you think Mr. Laske and Gil go to the same barber?

With that posture, Pat must be ex-military, too.

Even if Laske played short-handed, I still see a 10 up with 8 to play finish.

“They gave him a 25 handicap, same as the worst guy.” Well duh, he is the worst guy.

Are Steve’s brother and Molly wearing aprons? I thought they were caddies, when did they get a job in the kitchen?

Is Steve going to trash talk Mr. Laske? Steve could say something like – “Pat? Isn’t that a girls name?” or “Nice shot Patty!”:
