The Buckets by Greg Cravens for September 19, 2012
Transcript:
Look- this comic strip is my favorite- Gasoline Alley . The characters age just like real people! This guy- Walt- is over 100 years old. These are his kids and grandkids. That's nuts. Who wants to read a comic about whole generations of cartoon people? What are you guys talking about?

Greg – is Eddy’s question for us? :)

Gasoline Alley, ah a strip from an ageless past, where the people actually aged. My mother was born the same year as Skeeziks, Chipper and I were in the military during the Nam years. I can relate. (As opposed to Dondi who was forever in 3rd or 4th grade). The Buckets are fun, too, because of the humor like this.

I do – I do. I’m a lot closer to Walt than I am Eddy.

Greg – you’d best listen to Eddy – he may have a point…

I don’t want to alarm anyone, but if The Buckets were aging properly, Eddie would be Twenty two or so. Pretty scary!

Good point… I’ll have to remove this comic from my list now. :-( Sigh…;-)

Great…now I am going to be hearing Rod Stewart singing Gasoline Alley the rest of the day….I better go put some Anita Baker or Shakira on the stereo…
