Evelyn: Come and get it, Tom! Go ahead... it's your favorite... Tom?! Professor: One would assume it doesn't get much more fancy than "Fancy Feast." Evelyn: Is it possible for a cat to be a food snob?
Depends upon the cat and its mood at the moment. I once saw a recurring episode where our dog wandered into the kitchen and started eating the cat food, followed by the cat wandering in, stopping to observe the dog eating her food, then calmly sliding over to eat the dog food. Caused my mom to call a vet to ask if it could be a problem. Vet asked if the animals seemed to be having any bad reactions to eating the other’s food. “Like what?” Mom asked. “Like vomiting, loose stools, lethargy, abnormal behavior…” When my mom answered no, the vet said, “Then I wouldn’t worry about it.”OTOH, my wife and I had a couple of cats that got finicky about certain brands of cat food. Stereotypically, they had expensive tastes.

To what?

Not really. But it is possible, even likely, for a cat to be a food a**hole and randomly refuse to eat whatever the cat’s been eating daily for years.

This cartoonist has obviously never SEEN a cat. That may be the most generic animal I have ever looked at….

our cat eats when he’s hungry and doesn’t when he’s not. it depends on the success of the hunt.
