More than likely software, because the hardware is basically a box with a keyboard and a console. Unless someone trashed the keyboard or console there should be no problem with the hardware.
If you suddenly have a problem with your software, contact the company who created the product. If you just installed new software and now have problems with older software on your computer… the new software is the problem.
—- So hopefully you backed up your computer system before installing the new software, and can reload the backed up version of your computer system.—
The company who created the new software has failed to test their product thoroughly, or you already have software on your computer which is not compatible with the new software….. In either case the new software company should be able to help!
