Groan, I did work Help Desk, I did get calls about breaking the “Cup Holder”. For the “children” amongst us, at one point in time, the CD was inserted using a slide-in/slide-out tray. By unfortunate circumstance of standardized design, there was a hole in the bottom of the tray that looked to be of the right size for a small styrofoam coffee cup.
What is ironic (and demonstrates my age) is that this was a technology advance from the CD “capsules” that preceded them. I still have several of those somewhere in my junk probably!
