They put you in a queue because then they can make you wait a long time, hoping you will get frustrated and hang up. Most “tech support” is some poor guy reading from a script who has no real idea how to solve the issue. Been that way since ALL tech support was sent overseas. I sometimes think I know more than they do. Like most computer nerds, everyone calls me asking for help. I only know because I learned what NOT to do by making mistakes myself.
