In my opinion, people are overthinking today’s strip.
It’s fairly common to talk about going for a walk in the forest as a way to relax. That’s all that’s going on here - the traffic is leaving the busy, hectic city and going for a calming drive in the woods.
The road ends at a wall of trees. I guess that “could” be thought of as traffic calming, but after 35 years as a traffic engineer, I’ve got to say that it is a new one on me…
