This is for Mike Baldwin. Thanks for explaining yesterdays joke. You almost most sounded a little bit defensive in the second paragraph. No need. It would be impossible to tickle everybody’s funny bone, every day. To be honest, I believe that when we are sometimes forced to think about the drawing it adds to the punch line. Then there are the days when a ground ball goes right over your/my head………. but that is another story. Just keep drawing and enjoy those moments when you can chuckle your self to sleep, knowing how stumped most of us were.
Yeah Mike, thanks for the explanation and back story, but the comic was fine without it. The problem is with us readers. We have been programmed to look for the tiniest hidden clues for some deeper meaning. So when I see the name Jim Dandy, I start searching my mind for some reference. I was even examining the layers of soil for a hidden meaning. And being right before Easter made it even more mysterious.Anyway, it was a good comic with good lesson.
I like the cieling light that looks a bit like a high hovering halo.as for yesterdays comic I’m old enough to know that it’s all just …Jim Dandy! come on really? nobody remembers that old expression?

As far as todays comic goes, I like the gangster lifestyle and hope to see more along those lines.
