    Well, it looks sad, but it’s mighty cold in New England right now so I, for one, am thankful for my house. I wouldn’t last long in the woods.

    Houses are fine but malls, golf courses and resort hotels are entirely different questions.

    Not here. At least not exactly.Back in the late 70s, we started paying on a plot of land. Paid that off and leveraged that into a house built on the land. So yeah, there’s a house here now. But where the house is started as cow or pig pasture with 2/3 of the land in woods. We’re doing some prairie restoration and some letting natural succession reclaim part of the pasture area.Yeah, we sound like old hippies. Old yeah, but never really hippies.
