He got “knocked” around too often.
I once saw an attorney try an equally lame defense before a trial judge who congratulated the attorney on the zeal with which he defended his client. Then the judge declared “. . . but I don’t buy it. GUILTY”.
Oy!
“What?”, replies the judge, “Your client didn’t grow up experiencing crime?”.
Judge: GUILTY!
[aside to defense attorney] but for $100, he can be NOT guilty.
Do you know someone with lots of opportunity who never grew up?
If it’s California, one congresswoman from there wanted to forgive crimes of “need.”
He now has the opportunity to be guilty.
