Whenever someone told me I’d miss my kids when they left home, I’d laugh. No empty nest syndrome here! I do have a life.

It is a mistake not to start a life before your child leaves the home, you retire or your spouse dies. I’ve had to deal with two out of those three. I always thought I had enough hobbies and outdoor interests to keep me busy.
