Horseshoe Bend, outside Milford IA. Even had a tow rope to take you back to the top. We had tractor innertubes.

And nobody came to watch us or cared how long we were out as long as we got home by dark.

’55 or ’56 hood (less ornaments) might work better; the ’57 Chevy had those two finned ornaments.

It was great fun and we got so cold and our mittens were wet and cheeks were rosy red noses were running. What a fun time.

The reservoir hill on West Genesee St in Syracuse; scary as all get out! There was a large swale before you got to the road and you would never get to it but sliding down that hill, you wondered if you would launch onto that four lane!

Sounds like great fun! I grew up in Southern California ~ we surfed in the winter ~ kinda the same thing only warmer.

The VW hood is often mistaken for a Texas slice of watermelon.

I think we liked 49th street (or whatever it was) from just east of Rainbow to State Line.
