Well, eventually at double or nothing Kevin will luck out and the debt is erased… But in a moment of hubris the cycle will begin again.

I remember years ago that I had a bet with a co-worker on the Cardinals vs Royals. St. Louis was up 3-1 and I had Kansas City, so the co-worker comes backs and says “Double or nothing” meaning that if I won I wouldn’t have to pay anything. However, if he won I would had to pay double the amount. I said “Thanks, but I’m good. I’ll let it ride”. I never forgot how angry he was when the Royals came back and won the World Series.
