Oh, no, wait, that probably doesn’t work. 80 percent chance no one involved has seen it since it’s a 4 or 5 year old movie that’s never aired off of Disney Channel and neither family seems to quite have the money to spring for it while it’s still pay cable.

Anyway, one of the main characters accidentally caused a game of telephone where the other one’s mother thought she was saying the other main character was stuck in a tree when it was actually a cat, and “funny story” here a main character actually is stuck in a tree.`

And even with all of this, Miles still lost the ladder. (What do you think Kevin climbed to get up there in the first place?)

Gene clearly has trust issues.

Miles? You might try explaining to dad why you need it. Perhaps he might even help you get Kevin down from the tree… Depending on how well he knows Kevin at this point in the newspaper strip.

Uh, Kev. . .a little initiative here. . .slip out of your shirt, let Miles help break your fall. That would be just as good a comix. . .Then read the series of Swallows and Amazons to see some amazingly inventive kids. . .

Poor parenting. Too bad Dad didn’t ask the one word question “why.” To quote Ted Lasso, “Be curious, not judgmental.”

Maybe if you had told him why you needed it he would gave said yes!
