Cats have an “open door policy”.
Our cat generally get a very gentle “assist” when he stands in the door too long, especially in the winter. Which is coming.
my cat snuck out once years ago and got bit by something and needed surgery. I would never let me cat out. He was fine sitting on the sill and lived 18 years.
My cats are indoor cats, period. Much safer that way.
Indoor cats are quite content—-as all the birds and small animals they’d be killing. In the USA cats kill millions of birds!
