I have an app called merlin, it picks up the sounds of the birds and identifies them. From my deck within four months I have identified 173 species of birds, living in a National forest makes a difference and I must be on some kind of migration route, I love it. I sit out on the deck in the mornings and listen to the Choir. Life is good.
As a young teen my bedroom window was feet away from a corn filed. A simple three strand barb wire fence was the delineator. The danged starlings liked to make a ruckus on that fence every morning. One morning I had had enough. I grabbed my brothers 12 gauge, gave them a taste of that right trough my bedroom window screen. Took about a dozen of them out. I had to make a new screen that day, but the next day? No starlings. Dislike that bird more than any other. Even sky rats are better!

That was much appreciated, though! After all, he feeds me daily. It’s the least I can do!
