Cul de Sac by Richard Thompson for December 28, 2008
Transcript:
Alice: Daddy, would you open this for me now? Please? Dad: Okay. Jeez, look at all the wires. It's like the inside of a piano. Alice: Oh, boy. You're almost done, right? Dad: It's all welded in there. Okay! I got the shoes out! Alice: YAY! How about the doll? Hurry! Hurry! Dad: I'm working on it. Alice: Hey, Daddy. Dad: What? Alice: Your nose looks ten years older than the rest of your head! Daddy? Beni: Look, Santa brought Alice shoes. Dill: Maybe he doesn't realize your feet have grown since last year. Alice: Was it something I said?

I’ve only been aware of its existence for a week, and I’m already addicted.

I love this comic, it definitely passes the LOL test often. Today’s made me laugh so hard the cats ran away. It reminds me of the time we were outside on the porch when my friend’s daughter suddenly said “Mom! You have massive grey hairs!”

Choose this comic in my line-up as a successor to “Preteena” because I don’t like reading comics who’s gags and storylines I already know. With exception of “One Big Happy”.

Cul De Sac is a dream. I love it like no comic I’ve ever read.

Almost the same thing happens whenever my younger sister gets a doll, only I’m the one stuck with opening it.Still, my resume’ll turn out to be a rather unique one.
