Cul de Sac by Richard Thompson for October 29, 2009

Transcript:
Miss Bliss: Children, hang on tight during the hayride and please don't distract Mr. Fretwork by screaming. Man: Ready? Here we go - WHOA! Beni: Ee yi ee yi oh! Miss Bliss: Who's next on the Hayride O' Thrills? Voice: Not me.
usually the color is done by someone else, not the strip’s creator (richard thompson), which is generally why it looks a little strange, since dailies are supposed to be in black and white (see the shading in pearls before swine for an example of really incompatible daily coloring). I wonder if this was forced upon richard?

Great hayride! All that’s missing is a horse, and a wagon, and some hay…

Nice color. I’d like to see the kids get out of the truck.

remember- you can’t get too far in a cul-de-sac. Poor Beni looks a darker shade of green in the last panel.
methinks Mr. Fretwork should have taken advantage of “Cash for Clunkers” before it expired.

Why is it in color? It looks great, but it must be loads of extra work to have to color the dailies?
