Could be worse. Someone could be playing an English horn. Always useful if you lose your duck call.

fritzkringle rofl! See me in the parental role though, can’t stand it when my kids make a sound in a concert :D
Destiny23 about 14 years ago
Why are all these little kids playing double-reed instruments?? They’re among the hardest instruments to play! This is why 7 year olds should stick to recorders… (Extremely annoying to listen to, but not painful at least!)
GROG Premium Member about 14 years ago
I hated playing the Recorder.
CougarAllen about 14 years ago
pschearer, nothing you could do could ever be sufficient to even the score! Mwahahahahaha!

Destiny23, not painful no? I’ve had to teach a music preschool full of kids that can’t keep their recorders out of their mouths - it’s painful all right! My deepest respect for the teachers who do this for a living…

Participated in a piano concert hosted by my piano teacher and featuring her daughter on trumpet. The trumpeter was both “not-so-musical” and hysterical at the same time–red face and cheeks puffed out as wrong notes lifted into the air. My Mom and I were dying with laughter that we knew was wrong, but we just couldn’t contain. I can never forget this concert! (I wasn’t even so accomplished but the situation was a total hoot!)

Wait…in Ernesto’s first appearance, he tells Petey that his finger was injured in his bassoon case. Hmm…
