Alice: Are you still drawing a comic about that stupid picnic? Petey: Yes! I've just reached the peak of the excitement - where I eat a whole pickle slice and a bee shows up. Alice: That wasn't the exciting part! How about when Inez knocked over the condiment table? Or when Marcus got sick after eating hot mustard? Or when Mom made me put on my shoes! Petey: Y'know, I think the whole "excitement" thing eludes me.

She threw a tantrum because putting shoes on was a disaster. Also, about the paint in hair – kids that age who paint can get paint everywhere!
