I love the idea of a National Geographic being mistaken for a catalog! Also, having an article on “Big Ugly Fountains.” Maybe a collaboration with (the late, lamented) Mad Magazine.
An old girlfriend of mine ( a harpsichord performance major in college) once got a card with, on the front, a group of rodents in tailcoats, knee britches, and powdered wigs, gathered around said instrument, with the legend “On your birthday…” .
Inside it said “gopher baroque”. An almost-Pastis-worthy pun, I’ve always thought.
