Once again, a little over 10 years ago, Richard posted a blog entry regarding this and the prior strip:

    http://richardspooralmanac.blogspot.com/2010/12/todays-cul-de-sac-december-20-21-2010.html

Sadly, the youtube.com video it points to is no longer available; but maybe this

    can act as a substitute.

Well, THIS concert has GOT to be better than those wretched Recorder concerts that my school put on annually. (All grade 5 students squeaking their way through some inane tune.). Those were entirely too embarrassing. :P

If you can’t laugh uproariously at a pretentious concert, then where can you?

Don’t know about bagpipes and accordions but Alice and Sophie make the best music!

Attended a performance of the Nutcracker a long time ago. At one point there appeared the Mouse King. A kid in the audience screamed "look mommy it’s a rat! " brought the house down.

Contrabassoon in elementary school? I did not start playing that until 10th grade.

What can one say? Alice and her new BFF Sofie are really enjoying the concert, in their own way! Ssh!

I don’t know, I fail to see how the laughter of children make this concert any worse.
