I love that Mrs Otterloop is concerned about Dill eating the mushrooms. And Alice is right on top of the fact that everyone knows that he will eat anything. I miss RT so much. I’ve been in this loop of comics for a few go arounds now and I still love it.
Thank goodness Miss Bliss was quick to react! Dill would eat anything, and we know some toadstools are poisonous (see Shirley Jackson, We Have Always Lived in the Castle, 1962)….

Your kids are quite strange kids, Mrs. Otterloop… positive you adopted them rather than gave birth to them?

Eating toadstools might explain Dill’s often stated views of things.

I love Mrs. Otterloop. Could the character be transported to Luann and maybe give that comic a sense of purpose?

Dill dodged a bullet. If he picked any of the toadstools the ring would be broken and a host of angry faeries would assail him.
Worse than poking a hornet’s nest with a stick, no joke.

Dang – we never had circus people in our school yard when I was a penguin chick; er – lad.
