Does last year’s Christmas tree have its needles still on its branches, Dill?

Ew.

Dill’s gonna grow up to be that guy who has access to anything or anyone you need/want, legit or otherwise…

I was sure the last panel was going to have a mention of a trebuchet in it.

Love it. 3 kindergarten kids discussing Christmas trees – such a magical time.

Somehow, I always picture Dill’s brothers as a bunch of Scut Farcuses from A Christmas Story.

It’s worse when you think about what kinds of laundry is stored on it.

Not a bad idea, a laundry line!

Dills brothers must be slipping. How on earth has that tree not yet become a trebuchet launched fireball, dirty laundry and all?

I thought when it was time to get rid of the old Christmas tree, Dill’s brothers just loaded it into a catapult and flung it out of the yard.

I collect up at least one discarded tree each year and use it for a windscreen/erosion control device for the rest of the winter. I don’t do a tree – too many ill mannered cats.

It’s a weird, weird, weird world, ain’t it?

Once Upon a Time, Gentle Readers, Tradition was that the Christmas tree would be set up and decorated on Christmas Eve (!), to remain up through the 12 Days of Christmas, until 6 January, traditional date for the Feast of the Epiphany. And then taken down. Really!

Note Dill’s fierce intensity as he creates his abstract piece in Panel 1. After he joins the conversation he is less concentrated.
