Maybe everyone should ask the question, “what happened to Slipshod?”
and the Otterloops’ beach vacation is off to a fine start
Everybody’s a critic!
Just in time for Hurricane season!
A great strip.. I mean Cul De Sac was in general, but just showing off the Slipshod II via the comics equivlent of a tracking Shot. Brilliant stuff.
Those aren’t gnats, Alice, they’re seagulls — aka “beach gnats”.
Once again, we see that Petey would be perfectly content to remain still his whole life. Speaking of the ocean, a Petey-style evolution would mean that no animal would have crawled out of the sea onto land.
Richard Thompson meets Wes Anderson — I love it!!
From The Benny Hill Show:
Captain Fred Scuttle: Well, here we have my rocket ship, the Indestructible II !
Reporter: What happened to Indestructible I ?
Scuttle: It fell apart.
I think these are repeats. I still like them, though. Word to the wise – use caution when renting a house online.
Richard Thompson was a genius!
Slum beach-house lords milking the clueless
Nice use of space on this one :)
That giant swarm of gnats is actually a flock of seagulls miles away.
I love this arc! I believe somewhere along the line another house kicks sand onto this one.
Its funny and leave it at that!
More R.T. brilliance, one of my favorite strips in terms of layout. Only one question. Where is the lamp filled with seashells? ;)

If your trips are miserable, your whole life is a vacation.
Ah, the Otterloop Beach Vacation is off to a rollicking start! (Wee touch of sarcasm.)
