    Rather than Haiku these more closely resemble Senryu because they explore human foibles and lack a cutting word and a seasonal reference. They lack a couple of the 17 morae common to Senryu, however. Syllable count is the least important characteristic of Haiku. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senry%C5%AB

    I have often wondered how Haiku can be translated from Japanese to English and still have 17 syllables when Japanese cinema translated to English has their mouths keep moving after they have finished speaking.
