I read this comic, I read the whole thing two times, time lost forever.

today i learned a new word!

Haiku, poetry without rhyme or reason. I’m with Alice, bring out the nursery rhymes.

Even the last panel conforms to the style.

Haiku was never so true

So – I’m NOT the only one who picks the marshmallows out of Lucky Charms…

Rather than Haiku these more closely resemble Senryu because they explore human foibles and lack a cutting word and a seasonal reference. They lack a couple of the 17 morae common to Senryu, however. I have often wondered how Haiku can be translated from Japanese to English and still have 17 syllables when Japanese cinema translated to English has their mouths keep moving after they have finished speaking.
