We would catch them in our cupped hands, watch them flash and release them. They were so pretty. One of the neighbors would kill them and wipe their luminescence on his face. I didn’t like him for that.
If we had Lightning Bugs in these here parts, I would not capture them, I would just admire and enjoy them in their free state.
