Petey’s a regular trauma inducer; first, he does it to himself, then to poor Alice and finally to the innocent bug, who’s practically catatonic and can’t even plan an escape…

Lightning Bug: “Ew, they have two legs!”

Not sure what in Peaty’s mind he thinks it’s going to do to him. Light up his life?

You need a glass jar with a lid.

Don’t bring him a spider or worse, a centipede.

Personally, I’d rather have a Lightning bug walk on me rather than dirty broom or vacuum nozzles rubbed over my body!

Petey’s room and nature should never meet. I’m surprised some kind of paradox vortex didn’t open up.

Poor lightening bug. This was not the action he was blinking for.

I sense an inadvertent parable here on how a certain segment of the media is able to persuade the rabid supporters of a certain former grifter-in-charge that the sky is indeed falling and they should be afraid, disgusted and outraged.

Petey is going to make someone a fine wife some day.

A sad ending for something that began with enchantment. :-(

Lightning bugs are about as harmless and tolerable as any bug can possibly be! Alice was startled by its blink and only took up the “six legs” mantra because you influenced her to think that six legs have to be “bad”!
