When my nephew was very young and he said “Uh-oh!”, my sister would ask “What d’you do?”. I went to lunch with them on one visit. A man in the next booth said “Uh-oh” and my nephew looked over the seat and, quite clearly, asked him “What d’you do?” ☺
If this came from an IRL observation, it was probably an example of a child’s learning a spoken language by repeating and getting a reaction to the phrases it hears most clearly and frequently. There’ll be another one next month. This is also how words trend in mass media, get overused, and become dated. I’m still waiting for “y’know” to die back, though.

That kid is just parroting his/her diaper changing person whose portent consists mostly of an abundance of boom-boom.

OMG, how ironic. As I was reading this comic, I had an episode of 7th Heaven on the TV and one of the little twins said “Uh-oh.”

Shouldn’t the Uh-Oh baby be 32 and living in his parents’ basement by now?

Well, the sandbox isn’t covered, so cats probably visit it quite often, so, yeah, UH OH!!!

Could be worse, the Uh-Oh baby could be dressed in black.

It is disconcerting, no doubt, but it is nice to have fair warning. Thanks Uh-Oh Baby!
