Check out the “throw away panel” that goes with this one. It’s nice and has a cool POV. Gary did a great job with it. (On Sundays only the “throw away panel” gets, well… “thrown away” here on GoComics because of space restrictions… not GoComics’ fault! That’s why it’s designed so that it can be used or omitted. Two wars, health care, the economy, re-regulating the banks and wall street back to sanity before they destroy us all, OPPS! Bush deregulated the oil industry to the point where the Minerals Mining Services was literally sleeping with and doing drugs with the people they were supposed to be policing. A dozen plates spinning on sticks and he drops: one.
The oil disaster is the fault of the industry. THEY are the ones who insisted they could regulate themselves. THEY are the ones who insisted a blowout at a mile under the ocean could never happen. THEY are the ones who submitted falsified documents. THEY should be arrested and convicted of criminal negligence and be put away for a long time. Oil subsidies should be removed from the over-bloated oil barons and given to installing windmills, not oil gushers, along our coasts as well as other renewable energy projects. Free America from the filthy grip of oil NOW!
