Yup. Grew up with them but married a woman who never had pets. Took awhile to get one, but he’s about the best behaved dog you could ask for, so it’s been working well for the past six years. BTW, we weren’t looking for one, but a friend is a breeder and brought a new litter over to the house one day – while the others played outside he walked into the house and never left.
My parents bought a little cocker spaniel when I was a toddler (he bit another child) My mother always had cats while I lived with them. As an adult, I have always preferred birds (and Cuddles Cockatoo was the best)
We have one dog who came to us as a stray; he is MY dog – saved my life once, so hubby and I both adore him. Also one cat, who showed up at the door, told us his life story and hasn’t meowed since.
We “rescued” a black shepherd from the pound 12 years ago. My daughter named her “Kitty” because her ears stick up. People think that is very odd for some reason. LOL…My oldest daughter who lives with us bought a papillon poodle mix last year. He is the sweetest dog ever. He weighs 10 lbs and is just too cute.
Yes, we inherited an elderly Schnauzer and she went from living in a home with several people aged 80’s to 100 to living in an active home on the lake. She adapted nicely, but doesn’t seem to like walking on grass and heaven forbid she should go into the lake.
No dogs at the moment, just rescue cats. Miss having a dog so MUCH! I’ve always had two dogs, our last dog was just one dog, she had the cats for “buddies”. She died 2 years ago. One of these days, there will be at least one dog back in my house.
I’m JoJo da Bulldog. That’s my pretty face smiling in the picture. This stranger that picked me up is now my best friend & I love him with all my heart !!
Yes we adopted Barty from Dogs Deserve Better. They rescue chained up dogs. Bart’s parents were chained in a yard and the pups spent their first few months living in a shed. Now he has a forest of his own. :-)

No. Child’s asthmatic, so we don’t even consider it.

Our two cats would not allow it. I love dogs, but I do not need the all that attention.

A German Shepherd and two Neapolitan mastiffs. Though I wouldn’t say I have them. More like the other way around.
