Bev…. and 2Old too, if that was a real question…most probably.
The internet comes in to your house through a device called a modem. Most computers these days… and smartphones, tablets, iPods, etc… connect wirelessly to the modem….ie, they pick up a signal from it over the air… and that’s called wifi.If by any chance you have an actual phone cord that plugs into your computer to connect it to the modem, or to the internet….that’s not wifi.
You need a laser pointer. Much more fun to lead them into walls and door frames. If you lead them outside and close the door, sometimes they can’t find their way back in.
Desktops are wired, tablet and phones are WiFi. I wired the house before WiFi came along. The desktops and laptop can use WiFi if needed. Phones can serve WiFi to tablet and laptop if needed. Most of my phone data comes via WiFi, so I could do with a much smaller data plan.
Desktop is wired. Tablet and phone WiFi. In fact, I have a phone plan that relies on WiFi where available for everything including calls and texts. Can get calls and texts on cell when WiFi isn’t available. The best thing is it’s only $10 a month.
Saucy… could you tell me what company has that phone plan, pretty please?
Most cell plans won’t make calls over wifi… and the big carriers even disable wireless voice apps like Skype and the calling functions of Google Hangouts.
Meanwhile, I’m needing something way cheaper than what I’ve got.

The boys are like moths. As for when my wi-fi goes down, I try to read a book, watch TV, or play a Game Boy game.

It’s the end of the world as we know it. Well at least it is for some people – but not for me. Life without internet = getting more things done.
And no I don’t follow anyone on Facebook, Twitter or anything else that’s out there.

I’m a naughty boy. I couldn’t help thinking that the next time our internet goes down I should ask my wife if she wants me to emulate it.
