    it’d be even more intense if it were in 3D where you wear those special glasses

    Tony asked, about 10 hours ago

    See any good movies?

    Yes. And even entertaining ones.

    Both in one – or critics’ choice and the latter – rare case.

    We watched “The Pirate Movie” (1982) with Kristy McNichol for the umpteenth time and I still love it.

    @Tony:

    Last movie I saw was “Batman Vs. Superman”. And I see it’s time to ask today’s…

    Second “Daddy’s Home” Question:

    Front row or back?

    This past week, I’ve been watching Jean Arthur movies. I’ve got another week of these great classics. By the end of the month, I’ll be into classic Sci-Fi, like War Of the Worlds, Them!, Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Forbidden Planet. I haven’t been to a theatre or seen anything Hollywood’s recently put out. I refuse to lower my standards.

    Gotta be in the back. SO gets vertigo if he sits anywhere else.

    When I was in grad school, the uptown movie house played “Yellow Submarine.” Having only seen it on TV, I wanted to see it on the big screen. I sat in the back so I could see everything. I should have expected it; but all the potheads who wanted to look up Ringo’s nose sat in the front row — and there were plenty of them, so many that by the time the actual Beatles made their appearance at the end of the flick, I was getting a contact high from all the weed smoke wafting back to where I sat. I guess “Yellow Submarine” was the “Fantasia” for the grass generation.
