when is Stan ever honest himself?

Reminds me of this riddle about the two prison guards, one is a habitual and constant liar, the other can only tell the truth, you don’t know which is which. They are guarding two doors, one leads to freedom, the other leads to death row, again you don’t know which is which. You can only ask one question to only one of the two guards, what can you ask that will point you to freedom?

I got this far in my life; of course I fib.

A Word of Advice:

Don’t ask the nice young lady at the pharmacy counter in Costco whether

the “Home Defibrillator” they sell will prevent anybody in your house from lying.

Having a hard time one day not being me, I just had to do that very thing….

And of course, she started explaining defibrillators to me, at great length…

while I just sighed and listened politely,

cos I no longer say “I was just joking”,

having been convinced that it hurts people’s feelings to point out that they didn’t get the joke.

No, save your dumb jokes and puns to inflict on the poor captive audience here on GoComics, instead,

like I usually do.

Well – if your breakfast contained any fibers, it’d make you a cereal killer.

I don’t fib, either I outright lie, or I exagerate. Hard to tell the difference.

About what?

Lie? Who me? Thats just a canard!!!

I sometimes shade the truth.

I embellish the truth a little.

I don’t lie or fib, but I do tell some alternative facts on occasion.

Stan has a point. Honesty is how you act and conduct yourself. I have noticed that those who verbally claim to be honest, usually aren’t. Think about this during election campaigns.

Sometimes it is kinder to fib than to tell the whole, unvarnished truth.

Stan, can you handle the truth?
