Peg should be more understanding about how Pete feels that ice cream is a necessity in life that can not be done without. I know that I do. She should imagine how she would feel if she was ill and needed Pete to go to the store to buy some lady’s monthly necessities, but forgot. Having been in that position myself, it is a task I undertake gladly and without fail. Thus my wife understands my feelings about ice cream and whenever she asks if there is something I need from the store all I have to do is give her a look and she knows what to write down on the grocery list.
