Tony asked, about 30 minutes ago

    I live where they meet.

Back when I was a kid, we didn’t have them interweb gadgets. If you wanted to listen to the radio (parents totally control the black & white TV) first you had to get a radio someone was throwing out and fix it up. Then put up an antenna. Next carefully tune the radio find a station to listen to.

Only to find out you are listening to Radio Moscow.

There isn’t much choice, is there?

    I’ll take the future, please….

Some things may turn out, in retrospect, to have been have been better in the past….

but I wouldn’t choose not to go ahead.

After all…. we can really only dwell in the present….

which was the future just moments ago.

All I know about the past and the future is that whatever we have now will soon be in the past, and in the future it will seem primitive.

I kinda compromise, I still do things I did in the past, but now I can do it faster. I actually embrace new technology.

I can make that happen for you, kid. Hand over the phone, the computer, the tablet, the video game system, the DVD player and take this old black and white TV with rabbit ears. Oh, and here’s a library card. You can only use it for books.
