Finding a pay phone nowadays is not that easy.

When was the last time you used a pay phone?
A long, long time ago when tigers still used smoking a pipe…
I was living in Montreal about 17 years ago. I think it may also be the last time I saw one.
I rarely use a pay phone even when they were around. In high school to call home for a ride? That was in the ’60s.
This looks like it was drawn in 2013 that would explain a little; but there weren’t many then either.
Did you notice the cobwebs?
I hear there are some in the jails around the country!!!
Did anyone explain to them that you have to PAY to use it?
In the sixties we used red boxes on payphones to make our long distance calls.

OK, there’s a reason why they’re called PAY phones.
There’s one outside the gas station/convenience store about a mile from my house. There’s one outside the (closed) Rite-Aid near work, but the receiver is broken in half so I’m guessing that one doesn’t work.
