I enjoyed Christmas the most when my kids were little. When they got to be teenagers, decorating the tree was beneath their dignity, and they certainly wouldn’t be caught dead admitting they knew me at the mall— kinda ruins the whole thing. Thank God for grandkids.
“Kids”?? They only have one son. Plus if they were kids themselves, did they know each other back then? Good way for dad to say just much he loves his son and wife, by wishing he wasn’t with them.

Tony’s QOTD: Merry?
Finally yes. I’m done shopping. Now to relax and enjoy the season.
In fact at my age I look forward to receiving gifts of underwear and socks. ;-)

(sigh) Clogged kitchen-drain. And I had planned to do some laundry after the dishwasher’s turn…
Oh well. Not that important. Just a pita to fix it. No biggie (if the waterproof vacuum still works), but time-consuming.
